Would it be possible to add a measurement value where we can define the QTY of Cubic Yards and tell it which ratio for the Tonnage? IE: Take off of base rock under pavement, 100 CY x 1.66 (Weight Factor for Aggregate to be Defined by User) = Output of 166 TONS?
This would help when printing PDF with information for field, civil operates in tonnage for hauling not yardage. Thank you!
Hi NWSledder,
Are you looking for the Qty in Tons to show on a Legend on a Plan Sheet?
You can currently show the Volume in CY as that is a standard measurement in Area Takeoff.

1. Shows the measurement in Volume based on a 6" depth
2. Shows the legend with CY Measurement
3. when you add an item you can do calculations
4. Shows the simple Calculation Using a Variable of [Weight Factor]
5. is the place you input the wight factor
6. shows 166 Tons from the Calculation
Awesome! Had no idea could do that! Thank you!
Awesome sequential red dot steps on ss @sam
NWSlender,
Another item that may help you out is building a custom property in settings, (I named mine "Stone Multiplier) that way you can adjust your multiplier at the takeoff level instead of the "item" level, then if you start building formulas, the "variable' in the item can be left blank and the item/formula will pull from the takeoff. Hope this helps

@Bryan Wow, your formulas need to be listed in the zzTakeoff Formula Hall of Fame! 😂🚀
@ Bryan,
Curious if you used chat GPT to make those? Or is that a import from PS?
@Kyle,
I make all my formulas from scratch, no import or AI.
