I've seen quite a few community members mention on previous posts their usage/preference to using Claude as their AI agent. I currently do not utilize any AI within my workflow, but I am curious as to what the benefits are, specifically when performing takeoffs within ZZ. Am I missing out?
We just started using Claude, I had been using Chat GPT for coding tools and such. The jury is out from me on Claude, but Chat GPT I thought was really good at creating/coding custom tools. I have not yet used an AI to do actual Take-off however.

Currently, I am using Claude to create templates. The building supply company I work for does not supply everything, so I am customizing it to fit our inventory and equations I received from someone doing takeoffs for the last 40 years. I did not think I would use AI as much in this profession as I currently do, but it is so fast at calculations and figures I just can't justify the time saved not to use it.
None of them (Gemini, Claude, GPT) were able to take the column schedule shown below and provide a correct list of column dimensions & heights for each floor (I provided the floor elevations to the LLMs in my prompt).
This was a relatively easy schedule to read with very little variation in column sizes, so I am not impressed nor invested into any of them yet.
