Community tab user to user communication idea

Hi People,
Peeps - Since the community tab does not currently allow for user to user direct messaging and mentions, I figured that one way to get around the absence of these features would be set up a post "DM post" at each channels or one channel. This way if a user wants to get in touch with another user from another post, reply or to network with, then they would be able to click onto that users profile, find their "DM Post" or pseudo-inbox and reply to it to grab their attention. The receiving user would have to have notifications for their "DM Post" on and most likely have to chat within a 5 minute timeframe from the ping so if another user pings at the same time or during a conversation, the chronological order of the conversation is preserved. They could also make a new post, copying and pasting a reply to the "DM Post" to get the 1 to 1 or even group conversation started.
Devs - Would the channels be able to handle this traffic? Its using the same infrastructure to post content and reply/share comments but at faster rates. The lengths of conversations are probably comparable to the traction popular posts get. A note to make is to make a "Networking" channel so traffic between users doesn't muddle the subjects of discussion of the other channels.

I say we just create a ZZ Discord channel and we all join there! The link could be stored within the software so only ZZ users could join it. I don't know if people here all use or know Discord.

Yeah but some people cant or wont use Discord cause of their companies policy, preference, unfamiliarity and such. I get the idea though.
Also you should timestamp you conversation if you edit it. YYYY - MM - DD - HH: mm so context isn't missed. I know its a alot of work, but uf you are brave enough you can have Claude install Auto Hot Key or make a keyboard shortcut to make a timestamp. It's pretty useful outside of ZZ.

@Luis I like the idea. We will work to improve the community as we go. We want it to be a useful place for our users to collaborate and solve problems.
@Shawn When we started zzTakeoff, we considered a Discord channel, but we intentionally developed our own community to keep the collaboration experience integrated into our software. It also will help us drive traffic to our site as users search for things people are discussing here. We'll keep improving as we go. 😊
🚀1I do understand that part. you already have it here, you don't need users posting Ideas on discord and here. However..... you could use webhooks on discord and share info between discord & ZZ. lol
