Copy and paste objects to different pages in different scales?

Completed

Hi, is there a way to copy an takeoff object in one scale on a page and paste that same object onto another page of a different scale? For example, I would love to be able to copy wall elevations on one page and copy those wall elevations onto a floor plan that has a different scale but have ZZtakeoff keep all sizes correct. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Travis! There's not a way to do this currently, but we'll add to the list (at least to have the option). We did have some discussion quite a while back about whether or not we should adjust. There are pros/cons of compensating for scale. For example, on notes or arrows, we would probably want those to ignore scale when copy/paste, but for takeoffs, maybe we should make it remember the scale and adjust the points accordingly.

Thanks Heber,

yes, I wouldn't think it really matters with notes, arrows, etc. With takeoff, it would save so much time and allow for more comprehensive review.

Thanks!

Hello, wondering if this was in development by any chance? I think it would be beneficial.

Another reason this is needed: Sometimes, a curtain wall is only drawn completely on one drawing. You might want to take off the CW on that drawing, then paste it on to drawings with different scales, where it is drawn concealed behind other building elements, parapet walls or canopies, as examples.

For anyone that has access to our TEST server, this feature is ready for testing. We can release it once we have fully tested.

I also just made a post in our Inside Track about it.
