Is it possible to customize unit abbreviations?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to customize unit abbreviations? Specifically, for any linear takeoff items, I want the units to say "LF", instead of "FT". As a utility contractor, everything is based on "linear feet", not just feet.

I agree with you. Everything is based in LF. Every program I have used does it based on FT. LF for straight runs and VF for Depth such as a Structure lol. Unless you create a child item, and force it to use LF, There is no way to make a line show LF. :(
