Linear Cutout

Hey team,

I don't know if this is possible, but i had a cool feature idea. a linear cut-out.

I've been measuring skirting all day using the merged boxes, which is very fast and easy with PDF Sanp... BUT then i have to deduct door ways (i was thinking of just using a calculation x #of doors) anyway then i thought if they can merge boxes, would it be possible to cut out/ deduct in the same way, Lasso around to line you want to cut and and it makes the end points where the lasso intersects the lines.

If you click the / button or the space bar three times, you can scroll down in tools and find a slice option.

Here's my workflow. It's a bit of a pain, but it might be less actions.

I do wish there was a quicker way.

I don't have a drawing of units to try this out however, if you have the room, you can use the slice tool just like a linear and extend it as far as you want to cut.

Not sure if this would be quicker for you.

thanks for all the help guys,

It seems Victors way is the fastest... the slicer does one cut then has a longer reload time between uses. and i tried to go around multiple doors but didn't work very cleanly.

We had so many updates, but at the end how we will remember all this functions, when is it gone stop?

you remember what you use... ZZ has way more capabilities than any single user could employ.
