Stepped Retaining Walls

How are you handling stepped retaining walls if they are the same thickness walls?

Assuming your talking about a floor plan linear tko. Multiple takeoff items (aka conditions) still. Same challenge with multiple height drywall. If anyone have any ideas for this yet?

One thought is to use child line items would work wonderful for the final output, but then you have to commit to everything as child line items....which complicates this tool vs OST.

I deal with this sort of problem with drywall/insulation/framing all the time where the assembly is the same but their may be changes in ceiling, deck or floor height.

Currently I would just create a new takeoff item each time the height changes. As far as i know there isn't a different solution for this in ZZ yet.

My preferred solution would be to do a single linear takeoff, assign materials then after the fact break up that linear takeoff into new segments where I could change the ceiling height, deck height, floor height etc.

I agree. I would mostly prefer to be able to assign a depth to individual segments. The child creation for each individual depth seems unnecessary.
