How do i copy and paste a takeoff from and old project to a new simiiar type project?

If I interpret what you want to do correctly, then highlight all the takeoff items you want to copy in your Takeoff Tab and select Ctrl+C. Open the project you want to copy it to. In the Takeoff Tab select Ctrl+V.

All your takeoffs will show up with zero quantities.
