@KevOB, If you are looking to populate your Takeoff with items from your template, you could try it this way: To get to the menu, you can click "/" and click on templates or press spacebar twice...

When I recreated it, I just clicked an item to record and after I clicked okay on the tool, the undocked template switched to Takeoff.

we need a way to undock only the Template.
