Make sure you are in assembly mode with this button here: (if you use assemblies more than items you can change the default take-off mode to assembly in the settings so it will always start in asse...

I think in your case you would not want a folder, but a point count assembly, with items that use that point count for its measurements. Here I created two assemblies that are situations In the type...
Custom Properties on its Own Page
97d 2h
Could it be a button next to the layers button. I tend to go there a lot, but maybe it will be less and less as I continue to develop our system.
Plans to support CAD import?
102d 15h
I have never used a CAD file to do take off, but I could see the advantage when dealing with pages that need stitching. I wonder how this would work for a project that is several miles long? Wou...

Pitched Area Tool
116d 6h
In the mean time I would suggest using the text with tags feature to let the name reflect what pitch is input. Roof @ [Pitch] -- or something to that effect. This way the name will tell you wha...
Filter in tree report not working
116d 7h
For the moment I just want to hide a few things. I don't know if in the future it would get more in depth than that.
Filter in tree report not working
116d 7h
I changed the items in the template how I want them, then did a new takeoff. Still not filtering out the unchecked boxes.
ZZ to BidBow Integration Workflow Idea
116d 16h
@Martin, yes that is the idea! Any resource in Bidbow would have the ability to be exposed in a list in ZZ, if you wanted to be able to pick it. The simple approach would be to have all resources...
ZZ to BidBow Integration Workflow Idea
118d 12h
Yes! From my conversations with Hadeel, the Library, once set up in Bidbow I fairly easy to maintain. This just becomes the standard, not to limit the Take-off individual to that list though. If...
Collecting Input: Slice Command
122d 13h
Is the poly line a point to point scenario, while the line segment is a click and drag? Or will double click finish the last point, even if it is the second point wanted and thus the first line se...
Default value for name "Text with Tags"
125d 5h
Yeah I can see how it could break other people's names. If it was a choosable default, then it would only affect the people who choose to have it default to that.
Can folders have a the [qty] and [unit] property exposed and assigned through formula or text?
128d 12h
Yes, thank you, that works. I made each of the child items takeoff items. But I am wondering about other qualities like count. It would be helpful to also count the number of spread footings. C...
Report by Assembly Level
132d 4h
I have had a couple conversations with the team @ Bid Bow. The idea is to get the data sorted in a way that is easily identifiable over there. Hadeel mentioned she has a meeting set up with you ...

Thank you! Yes I didn't realize this was already a Math.js function, I will check out this link.
Ready to Test: Who's Here, Follow Users, Takeoff Tree Grid, Takeoff + Item Combined, Undockable Reports, & More
142d 7h
Bug Report: The group by takeoffs seems to be adding in a bunch of pages that do not include any takeoffs for some reason. The only page that actually has a takeoff is S3-1.

142d 12h
I think it is due to the fact that in the formula I have [Rebar Weight] written as a variable so whether it is selected as visible or not it still is there, however, if it is a custom variable func...
Ready to Test: Who's Here, Follow Users, Takeoff Tree Grid, Takeoff + Item Combined, Undockable Reports, & More
142d 12h
Possible bug: I have my [custom property | formula] "Rebar Weight" hidden by default. When I uncheck the variable it remains visible in the variables list.

For the linked drawings feature here is a a couple suggestions: Stack had this and I thought it was pretty cool, for all of Stack's failings their drawing management was pretty good. 1) When a lin...
