Reports: Default to Current Layer or All Layers

There has been some discussion for easy ways to filter layers in reports. We have a couple simple options:

1. We could default to show All Layers, and have a single button to filter to the Current Layer:

2. We could default to show Current Layer, and have a single button to filter to All Layers:

Which do you think should be the best default behavior?

If we filter to current layer by default, that would de-clutter things, but we just want to make sure nobody accidentally misses something on their reports by not showing all layers. Any input welcome.

I say either way is good but, I would make that button a different color to make sure the user notices it among the other buttons and animate the button to show one sheet for current and the multi sheets for all.

I don't see a problem with current layer by default. This be great to clean up the reports. Thank you! 😊

Back in the day we never shared takeoff and it was only just me, me, me, me, with just me and my desktop OST isolated in my own world. Lets keep that the default so we all feel comfortable to move into the new world.

Thanks for all the input. Suppose we defaulted to show current layer by default, and the user presses the "All Layers" button:

Do you think we would want to:

1. Remember the setting per project

2. Remember the setting whether it's on/off regardless of which project

3. Revert back to current layer every time the user re-opens zzTakeoff

EDIT: I guess we could just add a setting for this.

A User/company setting would be great.
