Hotkeys for toggling
321d 7h
Same, I don't have any preferences other than what they are. Being able to customize them would be great though and allow each user to adjust to fit their workflow best.
Hotkeys for toggling

Sunday, I figured out that if you are holding shift down, you can snap to other takeoff points (green square snap) even when snap is set to off.
Minor Update: Vertical Linear, Sneak Preview for Box Mode
328d 6h
You can actually already do that. Highlight the area you want to adjust, box the two points you want to move turning them orange, then push left/right/up/down/45* to move those to points together y...
Rotate Counts with custom degrees
334d 1h
You can rotate in 1 degree increments using Shift/Alt/O. Once rotated the correct amount, you can copy and paste the takeoff with that same rotation. In your scenario with multiple size point loa...

Collecting Input: Plan Sets & Plan Versioning
335d 0h
The more I think about this topic, the more I think simplicity is best, at least for us. The thing that makes our workspace most difficult is clutter. The best way to declutter this left-hand side ...

Batch Rotate Pages
341d 9h
To add onto this page rotation request, it would be nice to be able to rotate them in 1, 15, 45, and 90 degree increments. We overlay landscape and topo plans on house plans regularly and a lot of...
Viewer ability to hide & show
344d 7h
One of our biggest issues as a company has been office/field collaboration. If we can leverage this tool to bridge that gap, it's a game changer in yet another way.
Perimeter length
355d 2h
Are you talking about calculating the length of a rebar stirrup? For example, say we have a 12"x24" footing/beam/column with #4 stirrups and 3" of coverage, you are looking for that 12"x24" cross ...
Sneak Preview: Dark Mode, More Colors, Takeoff Worksheet, etc.
356d 6h
Agreed, we're already on it and loving it so far but using it for takeoff only until permission control and locking comes out. Once we have that, we'll start implementing estimating out of it and ...
Sneak Preview: Dark Mode, More Colors, Takeoff Worksheet, etc.
356d 10h
@Kyle,I understand what you are saying and there definitely needs to be portions that the estimator can modify such as variables. Some things they should never modify though such as the formula. ...
Sneak Preview: Dark Mode, More Colors, Takeoff Worksheet, etc.
357d 1h
@Kyle, i'm talking about the items and assemblies. I need to be able to have formulas built in and have control over what the user can and can't modify.
Sneak Preview: Dark Mode, More Colors, Takeoff Worksheet, etc.
357d 7h
Do item and assembly updates include the ability to lock them? That's the one piece that's really holding me back from building this out for my estimating team right now.
Collapsed folders by default and locked folders

We'd like the default collapsed folders as well
How to Breakout Quantities?
369d 4h
That's the one feature we really hated losing when we left OST years ago. I think the best work around now is to cut the area you would have broken out in OST. Paste it into a new page. Sort tak...
Searchable print on .pdf not showing up in search
370d 6h
Are you importing from bluebeam into zz and searching? I know that the search doesn't work on jobs we import from planswift and I assume that's because planswift stripped out what was needed to pe...

Page sorting within jobs - PLEEEZ help!

This just made me think of an idea for versioning that might work. Instead of having all of the versions of a sheet as separate sheets, overlay all new versions of a sheet on the original like you...
Linear w/ width opacity
377d 11h
Agreed, any item that we put a dimension in, we want to see the takeoff scaled so that dimension shows accurately. We would prefer scaled to be checked by default on all items as well.
How to increase the line thickness of linear takeoff?
389d 4h
As far as I know, yes, that's right for an item that is set up as only linear. You have to switch it to a measurement type with width to be able to adjust the width.
How to increase the line thickness of linear takeoff?
389d 5h
Change measurement type to one of the linear with width options, enter a width, check "Scaled", and select a side of line.
