They are needed for scaling though...... Structural and some arch plans need to be manually scaled, and now and then, I have to match e.g., "3/16" My vote is have an option to choose.

Have you tried the "grey" folders? These are setup in Custom Properties. Then you can filter your Takeoff view from there....
