If you group by usage and sort by usage, it will sort alphabetically. If you are not sorting by anything, it should be sorted in the same order as the takeoff sidebar order.

Hey Levi, thanks for reporting, does this happen with a specific project, or specific area that you cut out of, or does it happen all the time?

I guess its all about preference/how you set up your formulas, WBS, and reports. Some users may want the cutouts to show and others don't.
