We use folders for that. It's been working well for us so far. Maybe that would be a quick solution for you guys until ZZ updates.

Have you tried using the "Duplicate As" tool instead of "Copy"? Right click the takeoff you want to copy and select the "Duplicate As" option. Choose the takeoff type and away you go!
